INES GARCIA

Ines Garcia is a Sydney-based creative completing a Bachelor of Design at Whitehouse Institute of Design. Working across photography, creative direction and visual storytelling, her practice is driven by a fascination with atmosphere, narrative and the ability of imagery to shape how a viewer feels. Ines approaches each project as a constructed experience, considering how character, environment, objects, movement and mood can work together to suggest a world beyond the immediate subject. Her work often moves between the familiar and the imagined, using cinematic visual language to create a sense of intrigue, immersion and escape. Influenced by cinema and its ability to transport an audience, she is drawn to imagery that feels emotionally charged, visually considered and slightly removed from reality. “I’m interested in creating images and experiences that make people feel as though they’ve stepped into something beyond what is directly in front of them. For me, the most compelling work doesn’t just present an idea - it creates a world around it.”
